Jill Cooper, Ph.D.
Jill Cooper, Ph.D. MFC21020 is an addiction professional well-trained in EMDR and psychoanalytic treatments.
Dr. Cooper earned a master’s degree from Antioch and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Professional School of Psychology in San Francisco, CA. Since 1979, she has worked in all capacities of chemical dependency treatment and has taught chemical dependency classes for masters and doctoral license requirements. She has served as a consultant to major music labels and management companies and has treated many platinum-level recording artists. Her work in the music industry has been featured in Billboard, Request, and Rollling Stone magazines.
Dr. Cooper has published articles on psychoanalytic self psychology and has presented papers at the International Conferences on the Psychology of the Self. She has taught at Antioch, U.C. Berkeley Extension, the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP), the Georgia School of Professional Psychology (GSPP), the American Orthopsychiatry Association, the American Psychological Assocaitian, and the Psychoanalytic Institute fo Northern California. Dr. Cooper has been published in Progress in Self Psychology and The Psychoanalytic Review. She has conducted workshops for the Georgia Psychological Association and the American Academy of Psychotherapists.
