My Mission is to create space for gratitude to live and breathe.
The connection between gratitude and personal growth has been a defining theme in my life. In 2014, after losing my mom to cancer, I was consumed by grief, struggling to find peace. At her funeral, my cousin read a letter of appreciation I had written her just months before her passing, and something shifted in me. It became clear that while death is inevitable, life is lived in the moments we embrace daily.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to spreading gratitude. Over the past decade, I’ve curated and shared gratitude letters, created a website to celebrate these stories, and embarked on projects like The Punching Depression Tour, Gratitude New York, and two gratitude-focused anthologies. I wrote The Mechanics of Gratitude and The Little Book of Grief, Grace, and Gratitude, the latter inspired by losing my sister to cancer. I’ve hosted over 200 episodes of GratitudeSpace Radio, interviewed thought leaders, and embarked on the Gratitude Texting Community three years ago, aiming to foster daily moments of gratitude on a massive scale.
Each endeavor reflects a simple truth: gratitude transforms lives.
The fantastic thing about creating space in the world for gratitude is that you also make it for yourself.
