Letter from the Editors – 1st Edition

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

Happy Holiday Season, it is with great pleasure that we introduce Recoveryview.com, an online journal for professionals in the fields of Addiction and Behavioral Health. The idea for this project began last February with a group of friends and colleagues in New York City.  We discussed ways to create a community for the recovery industry, nationally and globally.  Tian Dayton and I (Josie) both believed an e-journal would be the best vehicle to accomplish the goal of networking the clinical and professional communities. We are pleased to release the first edition this holiday season and look forward to growing our educational vision together in the New Year.

Our mission is to bridge the Professional Community as a co-operative network to better the lives of those we care for.  Our vision and commitment is to provide education and information via articles and columns from known authors and experts.  Our authors encourage you to use their articles for education in your practice and with clients.  Each article is printable and can be e-mailed to a friend. In addition we are asking for articles from you the reader to share your research and expertise. We ask for your View through comments to the authors about their topics.

Our subscription will be at no cost to the readers with opportunities for a free CE per edition (up to six per year) and free resume posting on the job board. RecoveryView.com will e-blast a new edition every other month to over 75,000 professionals and will continue adding new articles to the website.

RecoveryView.com is offering additional marketing and network opportunities through optional membership.  Membership includes: advertisement in the National Directory with cross links, posting of professional events in the Community Calendar, listing employment opportunities and resumes on the Job Board, an additional CE per month, participation in clinical forums and blogs.  In consideration of financial mindfulness during our current economic times, we are able to offer up to eighteen CE’s per year through membership fees at a minimum expense.  Please visit our membership page for details.

In honor and respect for recovery and the lives we touch, we thank you for reading RecoveryView.com.

Sincerely,
Jim and Josie Herndon
