Letter From the Editors – Sixth Edition

Dear Friends, Colleagues, Members and Visitors

I want to share with you, an exciting event I was able to experience on Sept 12, 2009.  Here I am at The Recovery Project in Brooklyn with Candy Finnigan as seen on A&E’s TV show Intervention.  How inspiring it was to join 13,000 people walk across the Brooklyn Bridge for recovery.   WHAT A RECOVERY VIEW IT WAS!

Additionally, Jim and I want to introduce Jeanie Griffin, LPC, LMFT, LCDC BRI II, Recovery View’s new Executive Editor. Jeanie comes to us with years of clinical experience and teaching experience. Read more about the Recovery View experience in Brooklyn in her article, Recovery View Goes to Brooklyn.   If you have good ideas for new articles let her know.

In this Sixth Edition of Recovery View our headline article by Dr. Kevin McCauley chronicles a fascinating view of the process by which his new DVD project emerged.  We are anxious to see it!

With healthcare is the national news, Ron Hunsicker has submitted our feature, a timely article on parity.  Additionally, in this edition we are excited to run articles on young adults and adolescent treatment and recovery.

We want to thank you for your great feedback concerning our CE opportunities.  We continue to strive for excellence in bringing you the best articles and best practices for the recovery profession. Keep up the excellent networking with each other. By doing so we as a profession are focusing on how best to serve our clients.
